Stir turmeric powder into water with a tiny bit of alcohol so it dissolves and stays bright.

  • Gives a glowing yellow-orange color.
  • Will turn red if it touches anything alkaline like baking soda.
  • Fades in sunlight; great for short-lived projects.

Steps

    Dissolve turmeric in hot water or alcohol; let sit 10 minutes.

  2. 02

    Strain through a coffee filter.

  3. 03

    Add gum arabic and stir.
