Spice Cabinet Paints

Color
Turmeric yellow, paprika red, coffee brown
Binder
Gum arabic + honey
Stir kitchen spices like turmeric, paprika, or saffron into a binder.
- ▸Turmeric = sunny yellow. Paprika = warm red. Saffron = golden.
- ▸Some spices are oily, some chalky — adjust binder thickness to match.

Steps

Steep spice in 2 tbsp hot water 10 minutes; strain.

Reduce on low heat to concentrate.

Stir in gum arabic and honey.

Pour into pan to dry — re-wet like normal watercolors.
